St. John Hall
On Monday, March 13, before winter storm Stella spread its snowy and icy fingers through New England, the cupola was hoisted atop the new St. John Hall student center. A copper replica of the original Arrow weathervane, created by Sky Art Studios in Meriden, Conn., sits atop the cupola. It is one of four historic campus weathervanes, including the six-foot Rosemary Girl weathervane from Rosemary Hall’s main building in Greenwich, now affixed to a wall in the Andrew Mellon Library; the Ship weathervane that tops the Seymour St. John Chapel; and St. George and the Dragon that tops Archbold. See photos from the installation of the cupola. The student center will open this spring.
