Most commonly asked questions pertaining to Weathervanes: This will depend on how and where you plan to mount/install your weathervane. For instance if you are installing to a cupola we will need to know the size of your cupola. This will help us to create the correct pattern "size" or scale of your weathervane relative to your cupola. We will base your weathervane shop drawing on the overall dimensions of your cupola and show you this within our proposal. Size of the weathervane may be influence by its design. However for example if you have a three-foot square cupola we will suggest the subject figure on an arrow between 30"-32". We will need to understand the size of the building. For instance is it a two car, or three-car garage or 60' barn? There are at least two ways an installation can be accomplished given these scenarios. 1. Direct mount method installing directly to rooftop or ridgeline. SkyArt will provide diagrams. Or 2. Mounting to a bracket. SkyArt can provide you with a bracket. we will suggest the best overall size for your weathervane and mounting method given your input on size of building. No! The weathervane figure will always point into the wind. In other words, the figure will always point in the direction from where the wind is blowing. Yes, SkyArt is diligent in communicating with contractors and will provide whatever diagrams are necessary for he or she to follow in preparing your cupola for installation of your new weathervane.
